Shane Kuss
Shane is from Semiahmoo MHA and specializes in developing offensive skills, especially shooting.
Shane played his Junior hockey with the local Surrey Eagles, the team that would eventually retire his jersey at the South Surrey Arena. During his time with the Eagles, Shane set league-scoring records that still hold today. In 1997, the team won a league championship, Doyle Cup championship and participated in the final of the Royal Bank Cup. Shane attended the Vancouver Canucks training camp in 2000 before heading oversees to play professionally before ultimately deciding to begin developing and coaching players. Shane was the Head coach of the Delta Ice Hawks for 9 years, twice winning a league and provincial championship, before being named the Head Coach and General Manager of the Surrey Eagles from 2007-2010. Shane was named to coach the all-star game on 2 occasions during his time in the BCHL. Shane has been instrumental in developing young players for over 18 years through SK Hockey Development. He has also coached current NHLer’s Brent Seabrook and Milan Lucic. Shane coached at the Delta Hockey Academy from 2011 to 2018 where over his coaching tenure he focused on Elite 15 and Bantam Prep. This past season, Shane, along with Matt, coached the SEMI Hockey PeeWee A1 team to win the BC Hockey Championships.
